Philosophy of Care:
Dr. Ransom tries to create a relaxed, personal relationship with his patients.  His goal is to deliver high quality medical care in a cost effective manner.

Personal Information
Dr. Ransom is a lifelong resident of Franklin County.  The County owned hospital, Ransom Memorial, is named after his great grandfather, James Harvey Ransom, an early settler – but not a physician (he gets asked this a lot).

He is married to Diane, a retired middle school teacher, who is very actively involved in the quarter horse business.

Together Diane and Bud have five children:  Ryan Cobbs is assistant principal at Ottawa High School; Charlotte Ransom is an emergency room physician in Eugene, Oregon; Bill Ransom is an attorney in Grants Pass, Oregon; Katie Ransom is a biologist working in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and John Ransom is a tour guide in San Jose, Costa Rica.  There are currently only two grandchildren, but more are on the way.

Bud’s free time is spent woodworking, collecting and restoring antiques, and helping Diane with her horses  (this is why his hands are sometimes rough and stained).
